We’re looking for a high-level writer / content marketer / “explainer” / editor to join our fast-growing startup – We’ve grown 10x in 2021, we are backed by the parent company of Indeed.com and Glassdoor.com. We’re projecting to become a unicorn in the next 3 years.

Who are we hiring:

You’ll be “The content person” in our company.

About you:

  • you know how to structure the flow of a blog post / video script / social content
  • you can write compelling attention-grabbing headlines
  • you know how to write for users who skim and users who read cover to cover
  • you are able to grasp new topics quickly and distil them into different pieces of content
  • you’ve got great communication skills – you’ll be working with our internal team and other freelancers (e.g. a video editor)
  • you don’t need to be a native English speaker but we expect your written skills to be excellent

What will you be doing?

  • You’ll be working on many projects, but everything you’ll be doing will be around content.
  • For example, you’ll be given call recordings of conversations with our executives or clients and your job will be to find great angles, and content ideas and turn them into engaging blog posts, social posts, ideas for short video clips or graphics (we have specialized freelancers to execute your ideas)
  • You’ll be helping with our newsletter, creating new social media content, sales enablement materials, case studies and many more.
  • We don’t need someone who can churn out SEO-optimized fluff for long-tail keywords. The internet doesn’t need another “7 tips to conduct a job interview” article. We’ll never want you to write boring articles no one is going to read.

What’s the work environment like at Upshift?

  • We’re a small team in the marketing department, currently 3 full-time people working with 8 contractors and 1 agency. We’re growth-oriented and like to work with other capable people.

Practical information

🌴 You can work from wherever you want and whenever you want, as long as you have overlap with EST and CEST timezones. Our business team is based in the US, and our marketing and tech team are in Central and Southeastern Europe
